D15B2 Bottom...D16A6 Top Questions...
I just tore apart my D15B2 bottom end in order to replace crank bearings and do a re-ring job. My question is is I just got a D16A6 head and intake manifold and want to know what I'm going to need to mate the two together. First of all, I need to do the MPFI wiring changeover and I have read that much but my question is about the head gasket. Do I use the D15B2 gasket that comes in the kit or do I use the D16A6 head gasket? The head is from a 91 CRX Si. I am also doing the auto to manual swap with an Si tranny. I need a flywheel, clutch assembly, pedal assembly, shift linkage, shifter, tranny mounts, PM6 ECU, and a new clutch cable. I am doing everything myself as I have a big garage. So far I have the head and DPFI off so I would imagine that when I remove the axles and all of the hoses and the last of the wiring that this is the time to do the wiring mods. Or should I just get a Si harness? Either way, I need to do something now. Also, do I need to replace the wiring from the firewall to the engine, or the firewall to the ECU, or both? I am kind of confused after this. Are there any tricks to modifying any of my existing mounts to work with the manual tranny? Also if anyone has any tips for the wiring let me know. I'm seemingly lost after I get the engine re-built. Any insight from experience would help. Thanks in advance.

dont use the d15b2 or d16a6 headgasket,,they're both paper garbage...get a head gasket from a d16z6, it's all metal..
dont get the si harness, just do the mpfi conversion, its really simple cause in reality you're only adding and swapping around a couple wires..just find a real good write-up....i have used the one on http://fourthgenhatch.net with succes....Its much harder to try and make the si harness work..
for the mounts i have no clue ive never dealt with auto mounts, maybe they're the same ****? i dont know,,but if you need some theres brand new mounts on ebay for cheap
