So I Have A Big Problem....
I have a 1990 Integra LS 2Dr Hatch.
My driver's side CV shaft keeps on breaking.
I bought an extra one, and installed that, and it snapped again.
When I was looking at the shaft, it seemed like it was a little too short.
The car is a rebuilt status, and I've asked around about this problem.
Here are the responses I got:
1) "The car is lowered, putting too much tension on the CV."
- My thought: Then why the hell isn't the passenger CV breaking? And how did it break the new CV within 10 minutes?
2) "The sub-frame of the car is damaged, and has stretched due to an accident. This makes the CV shaft seem shorter."
- My thought: Makes sense, since my driver side fender does not line up properly. How much would it cost to use a frame puller to pull it back to normal?
3) "You could custom make a longer CV shaft."
- My thought: Is there any other car out there with the same CV but longer? Rather than having to "custom" make a CV shaft.
I think option 2 could be the reason, since the car is a rebuild, and I do believe it was hit on the driver side pretty hard. Is there alonger shaft though? That would fit?
Thanks.

your best bet is to go to a good body shop and have the frame fixed. makeing a longer shaft is only putting a bandade on a bigger problem.
good new is your fender will line up after it is fixed
