If its coolant then you have a head gasket problem!

well i wipped the black stuff off my bupmer and tasted my finger .
it's sweet. and the bumper smells like coolant.

what other way other than bad headgasket could cause coolant to land on my rear bumper?

EDIT: wow. my 8000th post

if you have coolant on your bumper, chances are you would be smoking quite a bit. in comparison to my car, I dont burn much oil, if at all. I do get an occasional puff of smoke on startup but Im thinking thats either my valve seal seeping or maybe a turbo seal. but my bumper is pretty dirty and Ive noticed when initially starting my car and just let it idle for awhile, I get a healthy amount of condensation spitting from the exhaust tip and literally pooling inside the exhaust tip. Id be willing to bet that has a LOT to do with the black **** on my bumper. it probably spits a bit of condensation after the first few minutes of driving. but Ill taste my bumper tonight and see if its sweet

Maybe off topic but if you want to clean that, your best bet is using a clay bar.

just filled my rad up today.. my sreservoir level stayed the same ..
my radiator cap seems to leak out some coolant when it gets real hot.. like at the track or after a long drive.. so on...
But i know it burns cuz it was down about a liter.

I have the same build up on the rear of my car... It's just fuel, I'm not burning any oil. The joys of having a test pipe, haha.

Problem being, it won't wash off easily... Clay bar you say? I was about to blast it with purple power and hope it didn't take the paint off.

Well my car's being repainted multi stage in the near future, so I'm not really stressing the condition of the finish THAT badly... But I certainly don't want it looking faded or blotchy.

I a few cases of Invisible Glass in the garage, I'll give it a whirl.

Just in case some people missed it the first time.

You do know coolant can make you blind, and probably kill you right? And Burnt oil or gas probably isn't good for you either. Did you think it would have a hickory flavor?
