Is there anything you can do to this car. Swapping engines, shorter geared trannys, head swap, swap internals, anything. I'm so curious because there is one real cheap for sale in my area and thought about tinkering with it

 

I used to have a 86 integra ls...It was a nice car. Dont know about putting a vtec head on it. Since its a d-series motor only vtec d-series motors I can think of are the sohc so....

as far as bolt-in applications you can downgrade to a SOHC engine.....but that's about it. The DOHC D16A6 that's in that 86 integra is the best that car is gonna get unless you get a bolt-in kit and drop a DOHC VTEC engine into it. It gets a bit expensive tho...kinda not worth it in an 86-89 integra, imo.

 

Brown top ZC will bolt in.

 

I also think someone makes a mount kit for a B series in it.
