interchangable trannies?

i have a old d15b7 motor sitting around with a s20 tranny...

we just recently got a 2000 dx hatch with a s40 tranny but it went out... are they interchangeable?

yep, they are. all dseries stuff is

edit: that tranny you have on the d15b7 is going to be LONG though, isnt that the CX motor? top speed in 3rd gear FTW!!! lol

nope... its a dx motor... the gears are not that long...

Think they're still longer than a Z6 tranny.

yup

dx is longer than ex or si tranny

but cx and vx are the longest
