I'm going to be relocating up in Portland from California soon and I'm curious how stringent the emissions testing is up there?

Specifically, I'm curious if you can pass with Toda Spec Bs....

Any info is much appreciated.

Slightly OT: do you pass in CA with Toda B's? Im concidering going to B's from skunk2 stage 1s

 

I do not have Toda Bs, from my early days of research, it seemed like to get the most out of those cams meant failing emissions, at least here in CA. There were legititmate ways of getting around it, which basically meant "detuning" the car, changing cam timing, jacking with fuel pressure, ECU...which just made it not that worthwhile to me to do every other year.

I would suppose if it were as simple as changing the mapping of a Hondata with your laptop for smog, then it would be something I would seriously consider again: load up the "Save the Earth" mapping, then engage the "Destroy the Planet" mode as you leave the inspection station.

Perhaps the Spec As are the best compromise for the "Least Hassle" factor.
