do you want OEM optional side skirts, or type-r side skirts? there are no type-r optional side skirts.

type-r side skirts are a little bit longer than other model skirts, and paint matched.

if you are looking for oem optional skirts, expect to pay upwards of $500. ebay has replicas for about $200.

your best bet is looking in the classifieds for either.

double sided tape makes me uneasy sinc they can weather out and the compounds break down...i heard there is a weather strip for the optional side skirts? dc side mouldings are "bolted" into the doors and quarter panels.

Where can i buy real oem optional sides? besides classifieds? like an acura dealer.

my buddy who owns a body shop uses this adhesive and applies it with a caulking gun. Worked on my car for over three years now.

There is no real place to buy them anymore as acura has discontinued production of them. Though in another thread ( you'll have to search for them ) someone mentioned a person in florida that sold some and may have more. Not sure though. Either way, you can't realistically expect to pay less than $500 for the sides and rears anymore. They are rare and will fetch a good amount. Which means you as the buyer will also have to fork over a good amount. There's no other way around it unless you find a wrecked teg at a junkyard ( front end damage ) that has them on. At that point you'd want to pray the junkyard owner doesn't know what he has That would be the only way to get them for a cheap price.

Aside from that, keep looking at ebay and even the classified section here or even other sites that specialize in honda related material. It may be a long time before anyone will have a set for sale. I got lucky with mine a few years ago when I found a seller on ebay that sold both sides and rears for $250 shipped.

I personally hate dealing with fiberglass, but if that's all you have available to you....then why not. Its really up to you honestly. If you want to hold out for an actual OEM set, why not? I've found them on occassion.
