hehe...
i got some bits shipped over from NZ to complete my project.
I managed to get the following shipped
1: header panel (non popup - bit of a change to the 2 popups I have)
2: 2 closed headlights (once again - I only got recessed ones)
3: fat bump strip front bar
4: fat bump strip rear bar
5: Si side skirts and door pods (these will be spares as i already have some on the car)
So far i've painted the front end and plastic welded the fender that was missing lots of bits

We stripped the shell, cutting the front off tomorrow for storage (will post pics)

unfortunatelly the new front header panel doesn't support recessed headlights. Recessed headlights are screwed into the front header panel and this new panel doesn't have the brackets to hold them.
I have a spare header panel i could use with has the recessed headlights but I want to keep it as a spare for GENONE.
I worked on the panels a bit over the weekend. pics comming up soon

alrighty then... i've got some pics up... sorry it took a bit of time but I also took some 'extras' to show the plastic welding process etc in the fender fixing.
at the start - my OLD sunroof panel... pretty scarry hey? well it actually did fall apart in two.

my new bits and pieces

BANDITS new front end
is painted

Fender just after welding it up. I used the old broken front header panel as 'plastic donor'. Using a normal soldering iron I head up and melt the plastic, mix the two sides as much as possible, heat more, mix more... etc you guys get the idea...

here is how I sanded it back.. still intact so the weld is good - I must admit i've gotten better at it over last couple years.

little bit of body filler here and there and she'll be sweet!

could almost say i stiched this one without any local anaesthetic LOL

heres what one looks like from underneath

Here is an update on the 'shell'

keeping the front nose cut... spares - lots of spares

so thats it for now... till the next weekend when I hope to get more time to work on it.

latest news on the build is that i scored a rollcage and a race seat for the car.
rollcage is off an EF CRX, hoping it will fit and bolt right in - otherwise i'll make it fit!
