my friends ITR was just stolen last night in Hickory, NC
he found out at 9am this morning
they stole it off a friends car lot that it was sitting at to be sold. lot has cameras and the car had a GPS alarm...NEITHER helped...

car was in such great shape too...perfect paint and PERFECT interior...had a REAL bomex body kit on it and konig wheels....he still has all the stock stuff that he's gonna sell (wheels bumpers exhaust, intake system)

he JUST paid it off last month too.

he just bought an 03 M3...so, i guess the insurance will help pay more of it off...but he's heart broke over the ITR getting gone. He had priced it high enough that his parents would get off his back about 2 cars since he was TRYING to sell it...but, he'd go drive it at least once a week while it sat at the lot..and I really think he was about to just pull it back home and keep it...but...not now

 

No offense, but I hope this isn't coming as a surprise to you guys that an ITR was stolen off a car dealer's lot. This happens far too often, even in our small H-T community.

Regardless, a car getting stolen is never a fun experience.

 

well, that's what i expressed when he told me in the first place...but he assured me there were cameras and he JUST got that GPS alarm installed....so, he THOUGHT he was safe...

and...yeah, it's got a body kit... not my taste, but...i have to admit, the paint and fit was PERFECT, 100%, on it...he had the entire car paitned when he put it on. even got new OE itr stickers for it...just never installed them...

 

Damn, very sorry to hear.

Unfortunately, the autotrader ad gave them the exact address where the car was, and warned the thieves it had GPS.

well...the shitty part is that he had a 98 black GSR with the same wheels and body kit....and exhaust..and everything else that he had on the ITR (yeah...bought it all twice...don't ask me why...he just has particular taste i guess) and they found it as just a shell....... it's been bad down here for a while, this is the 3rd ITR from my town to get stolen too

me either...but, he's a good guy and i hate to see him lose his 2nd car in 2 years.... hes completely out of the honda thing now that he's got his m3 though...hopefully he'll be safe with it, haha

anyone think its a good thing people are importing jdm itr's. it kind of keeps the balance in check, one gone, 3 more arrive in a container ship. i'll look out for suspicious sale ads in tx.

the lot guy is one of the owners good friends, and a VERY good guy at that. and..i REALLY doubt he'd want to steal an integra.......he's kinda...above that level.


brandon's called Freeman's about teh alarm deal...this is the ONLY gps alarm that they've installed in hickory...and he's actually thinking it MIGHT be one of them...i have no idea though
