Does anybody have the alternator plug for the 94 and up GSR engine? I'm finishing up on my swap (JDM b18c into 91 CRX si) and using the plugs off the b18c engine harness and notice that nothing plugs up to the alternator. Isn't it just a green plug with 4 wires that goes into it? That is what came with the engine but the shape of the plug on the alternator is more like a square shape. Do I have the wrong distributor or am I just missing the right plug for it?

I really need some help here, I tried the junk yards and they won't do anything for me. They just want to sell the whole wiring harness which is way too much just for the alternator plug. I tried using the stock Crx si alternator but it's alittle taller then the GSR alternator and the bolts don't line up? I'll pay $10 for just the alternator plug, if you want more email me.

well....sounds like that may be a 96up obd2 alt. that you have. Obd1 and pre obd have round plugs. Sounds like maybe you have a newer motor then you think or someone switched out the alts....

Kamin, the answer to your question is that I'll be running the p72 ecu. Yeh, I thougth I unplug the plug to the alternator but apparently, I didn't and the plugs don't match up to the alternator. I'll resolve that by soldering some wires directly into the alternator.

Ninesecrx, yeh, just found out that I do probably have an obd2 distributor because my neighbor has a 96 GSR and his plug totally plugs into my alternator without any problems.

Thanks to Kamin and Ninesecrx for ansering my questions

Yes, I'd double check to make sure you have the correct alternator. My CRX plug fit right into the OBD1 alt.

I have a JDM engine harness that'll probably have the plug on it. If you want I can email you a pic of it.
