are there any rules on where and where not to mount external fuel pumps..i have a aeromotive fuel pump that im using for my race car build but cant find room to mount it and was wondering if i would be able to mount it in front of my tire on the frame...and pics or info will help..thanks

 

i dont know of any rules as long as its outside the car and it wont hit anything you should be ok, alot of people bolt it where the spare tire goes or on the frame rail next to the rear tire

 

sorry i ment to say..........in front of the passenger side tire..front of car not rear...

 

no clue on the rules of engine bay pumps but we have mounted a pump on a a/m car infront of the driver front tire directly behing the cell which is also there, and it passed tech like that 3 years ago on the old setup but i would e-mail nhra or ndra whichever you are going to be running and see what their rules are so you dont waste time and money to have to redo it
