Ecu and oil prob.
I'm new. I have a 1991 honda civic 4 door sedan with the d15b2 motor. I have a couple of ?'s to ask.
1. Couple weeks ago checked the codes on ecu. It showed 1,10, and 14. So I change out the o2 sensor and iat sensor. So they are both brand new. I test the eacv and it test good. I reset the ecu and 10 and 14 show up again. I don't understand. Could my ecu be messed up? If so I can get another one this weekend.
2. I have good compression 190 on all four. Runs good. still pretty good gas mileage. It has 168,000 miles on it. It uses oil bad. I have to put oil in it like every 3 to 4 days. The only time it smokes is when I get on it or slowing down for a stop light. I had a friend of mine that is a mechanic and he said that the bottom oil rings are worn out. So he said either rebuild or replace. This all happened when I put that engine flush stuff you buy at the auto parts store. I guess it cleaned the motor so good that it cleaned whatever was in the motor.
My inspection sticker expired last month. Is there anything I can do to halfway fix this so I can pass emissions. I live in Williamson county and we have that emissions test crap. I just need this car to last me until the beginning of next year. I'm be getting a new car. I just need this to pass emissions test until then.
any suggestions would help.
