You won't see any horsepower increases that way.

Had an 02 LX coupe that was auto. There is not much you can do to make it quicker. I put intake on it, but stopped after that. You may only see a little difference in your midrange revs, but it is hardly noticeable. Without an engine swap and/or manual transmission, it is difficult to make it really quick. I turbo is not going to help you without a different engine (as far as I know but I may be wrong).
Usually, then it is easier to buy an engine management system to tune your engine for better performance. Not sure if this is available for your car. If D17 engine code, Hondata does not offer anything.
With that said, I am not trying to bash on your car at all. As we all like Honda's on this site. Happy tuning.

Stickers. Lots of stickers.
Sorry, but if you are looking for a car that can "haul ***," this isn't the right one. Nitrous will be a cheap, but you could cook the motor and it WILL ruin that automatic transmission. An engine swap is very cool, but it take a lot of money and know how to get it to be reliable and drivable. Sorry to say it, but the best way to go fast in a straight line is to buy an SRT-4 and do the Mopar turbo upgrade. Just don't try to take it around a corner.
Don't get me wrong, this is a fun little car. Mod things that YOU want to, say drop/tint/exhaust and keep it clean.

OMG Curiouz, i cant believe u repped a Cobalt SS. They are GARBAGE!!!!! A cavalier is 10times worse than a neon.
SRT-4's are faster and have better components than a Cobalt anyway.

Search.
I'd say it all depends on how far you want to go with your car. It's very circumstancial.

The Cobalt is the Cavalier's replacement, and since they share the majority of the chassis and drivetrain components, I would consider it a safe comparison.

srt-4 ownes cobalt ss. But anyways if you want to lower just for looks get new shocks and struts and tien s-tech springs. and for exaust if you want it i would recomend greddy sp2

"Same thing" on our cars. The front uses a MacPherson strut setup, while the rear simply uses a colover shock system.
If you want adjustability, i would go with either Tokico D Specs and springs, or full coulover shocks. Not those coilover sleeves though.
