Default Brakes - squishy feel

I want to try and determine if this is me or the car.

I just had my 99 in to get the right rear brake caliper replaced and got it back. Previously the caliper was not releasing, hence it was replaced with rebuilt one.

Now the pedal is much softer than before. I am thinking of taking it back to the shop to have them look at it and re-bleed the system. My question is - how much softness should the pedal have with all stock components? It seems like it was stiffer before but then again the caliper was locking up.The other alternative is to buy some speed bleeders and just do it myself correctly.

CN: Brake caliper replaced, pedal feels softer than before, am I right to take it back to the shop for a re-bleed of the system?

well i have no probs with my breaks, i just got new pads and my rotors machined in spring and its alittle squishy but they work, frankly i think thats how they are suppose to be. i was once told mabye there is not enough fluid in the system but im not 100% on that. Anyway good luck.

I think I might just order up some speed bleeders and do it myself. Actually I will get the help of my friend who is a mechanic to do it. Its about time I learned to do it myself. I have bleed my clutch before so I think I should be able to do it.

I tried them this morning and they seemed fine, they just react differnetly then I am used to for the first half a second of engagement. I can't tell if they bite more right away or if it takes a second to bite.
