Default 1990 CRX Need help!!!

Ok so you might remember I was looking at a 1986 Civic SI... but then I ran into this... and now I am up in the air on what I want... this already has a motor.. but it is kinda weird... it has a Type R block.... B16 Head... GSR intake Manifold... and a Y1 Transmission... so I am kinda lost when looking at it cause it screams one thing then you look and it is another... well anyways by looking at the pics what do you think the car is worth??

B16 head with GSR intake manifold? someone is pulling your leg... thats not possible to do unless you drill new holes in the manifold (ive only seen it done one time)

I wouldn't pay more than 3500 for it

I think it depends on what you like. If you like all the body work that was done on the car go ahead and buy it. I think WrongWD is right on not paying more than 3500 maybe even not paying 3000. Just out of curiosity what is the person looking to get for it?

The exterior is in terrible shape...with those nasty fenders, ill fitting bodykit and terrible paint job. Who knows whats under all that. The head looks newer than the rest of the engine, which may be an indicator of a recent failure or problems.

The car seems a little suspicious.

Agreed. Other than that it looks pretty tidy but I'd suss out the engine situation first

That car has a gsr head on it. I bet if you look at the stampings, it'll read P72. The gsr head is pretty good with a little more low end than a PR3, plus it'll have .1 compression point higher.

I'd be leary of it. If you can get past the body work, have the engine checked out to make sure it's OK. That newer-looking head may signal abuse at the hands of the previous owner.

b18C5 was the jdm version of the GSR motor..and the typeR motor is b18c

so you have a full jdm gsr motor..

jdm gsr was still stamped B18C

no extra digits were on jdm engines
