advice on lowering
trying to drop my 98 civic ex coupe about 1.5 - 2 inches, i need some advice on what to get that isnt too expensive. The only mods on my car are tint alarm and system. I'm going to get a RSX type-r or WRX in a few years so im not too concerned with trying to make my car faster. Are cheap coil-overs (like the ones on ebay) a total waste or should i stick with Ground Control and what are the differences. I dont want to spend much as my car is just an every day driver, but i dont want to **** my ride up either. Also do i need to get shocks, will me stock blow? I just got some 17x7's so i will desperately need the drop
thanks
thanks
word of advice: when modding suspension, do it right.
if you get cheap coilovers on ebay, i guarantee you will regret it within a month...the ride will be shitty and the springs will squeak all the time. so in other words, go with the ground controls you speak of.
as for shocks, you should always replace them if you're going to lower your car. again, you will regret it down the road if you don't do it now. ultimately, it'll save you time and money if you get shocks and springs installed at one time.

I lowered my car with Sprint springs and the stock shocks lasted 2 years....yes not in the best condition but not bad either...im replacing them this weekend.....but i do agree...do it right....as for coilover go with the N1's...expensive but nice!!!! I like the spring and shock lowerring kit.....simple and not bouncy....
