Default h23 head gasket question

Does anyone know if there are any head gaskets available for the h23 to bump the compression up? ive looked around a bit and havent found anything. Thanks in advanced for any help

in order to bump the compression up... you in essence need a thinner headgasket... but i don't think you can really get it thinner (i might as well be wrong)...

but you can certainly mill the bottom block down, as well as the head mating surfaces. you might have to watch out for valve interference, but i'm not sure, you should be fine as long as your timing is correct.

Why do you wanna bump up your compression? Do you have any real goals to attain from this? will you be tuning your car for this new compression?

I am new to the honda scene (VW guy) but with my vr6 when i had the head off to have it ported i was able to get a head gasket from schimmelperformance.com to raise compression by half a point. Now i just bought my friends 92 prelude with a jdm h23 swap in it which only runs 9.8:1, i am now taking off the head of the h23 to get it ported by a buddy of mine and then tuned (using an afc) by a buddy of his, so i though while the head was off i would rasie compression only if i could do so with a head gasket just like my vr6.

Yes, there are thinner head gaskets to raise your compression. Search around and you should find out where to get them

The question wasnt really weather they existed or not it was where i could find them and ive done a bit of searching already

those threds where all for an h22, i have an h23 which might be why i didnt run into them however i did learn from one of the h22 threds of them that if i take out the middle of the stock head gasket and use copper spray it will have the same effect
