Default d16 block weight?

i did a search but only found complete (long block) weights.

i need to drop my motor out of another car, so i can put it in mine. here is the deal. the other car needs a new headgasket and rear main.

so i plan on pulling the head and tranny off, then pulling the motor. but i cant decide on whether to use a tree branch and chains to go out of the top, or dropping it out of the bottom. no cherry picker owns me

this will be block with all accessories on it.

say about 170 - 200 lbs?

Less head and tranny, your well under 200lbs.

My guess is 145lbs.

I think a bare block weigh's 35lbs

yeah...200 with tranny(manual) i think and no fluids....oils weigh a f"ckload...but drain them, and i think its around 200 all together....i know i couldnt pick it up, so that puts it anywhere from 9 lbs up to whatever....later,

yeah im pulling tranny, head, fluids out. just to lighten the load.

i cant lift 150lbs myself. but a helping hand or two and i can get er done.

as far as the motor currently in my car, not gonna go through the trouble. just dropping it out the bottom, if i damage it. i dun care

thanks for the replies
