Default Horrible traction problems. Trapspeed 115Mhp (185kmh)

I'm having horrible traction problems and wheelhop. I have to something about it.

I think I will buy: traction bars, m&h slicks, d2/amr/omni power coil overs.
I also have to fix my sychro 3rd gear.

I took my car for a test run.
E.t. 13.6 Trapspeed 116.8 mph/187 kmh.

Shouldn't I be 11 high/12 low with those trapspeeds.

Is this car turbocharged? Either way, you should be 12s definately. But invest some money into a nice set of slicks and you'll be much better off. But the slicks should be number one priority to dropping the times. Let us know what you do. Good luck.

Definately.

You probably won't need the traction bars as much as the other two, but go ahead and get them if you'd like them.

Traction bars will help the most with wheelhop, also look into a bushing kit if you're still on stock bushings.

With more traction your trap speed tends to drop, I'd expect more like mid to low 12s with that setup

How much boost pressure are you running?

MOUNTS and TRACTION(Slicks will eliminate all that and do what you are looking for) Traction bars are a waste of money, I know unless you are going for 10's or 9's. You are wheel hopping cause your motor either is not staying still or your tire pressure is to high, and with a soft compound tire you will eliminate that, promise.

I'll try the tire pressure.

Most likely the wheel hop is being determined by the tire type you are running right now. Ask most of the guys running slicks and they'll tell you that wheelhop just doesn't happen often, if at all. I personally have had wheelhop once out of 45-50 runs on slicks.

yeah i had wheel hop once out of abou 25 passes on drag radials. i said to myself wtf was that lol!

once you start getting traction your mph will go down a little bit. id expect that you are making in the 325whp range, and with around a 2.0 60ft time you should be able to get mid to low 12's depending on how much your car is weighing.

look in my sig for my information, we should be very close to the same #s in both track times and hp

im sure your car weighs barely 2200lbs w/o driver, and thats if you didnt do any weight redux.

my coupe weighs about 300lbs more than that w/o driver. weight has a lot do with it, so i needs to be taken into acct.

I will run full slicks. We don't have any track byte on the track. It's a old air strip. Traction isn't that good

118 mph on 262 whp??? I believe either your car weighed in around 1750 lbs or the track was racing down a hill. But whatever. I wouldn't hark too badly on this guy. Most dragstrips in Europe just aren't as prepped as in the US.

get the slicks bro if anything. I have quaife lsd, full-race traction bars and h&r springs w/ tokico illuminas but I was wheel hopping like crazy on dunlops 205/40/17. the tires hopped at 25psi and 30psi. (i wanted to run the car in street trim just to see what it could do) I cant stress how important tires are. If you put one thing that could make the biggest difference, ITS TIRES. I would also urge u to get the full slicks and play with the tire pressure.

In road racing and drag racing... tires are basically everything. Less so in drag racing, but you get the idea.
