Default b7's runnin kinda rough

i just bought an eg 4 door and the motor has a real bad skip to it and when u rev it it smokes pretty bad(white smoke)we checked a plug an it was only firing on 3 cylinders....so we changed the plug tried it again....ran a little bit better...after about....2-3 minutes or holding the motor at 2k the smoke calmed a LITTLE....what could this be?

flooding prehaps?

so all you've done since you bought it was change one plug? and you wonder why its running like ****? when i first got my EK it had 67000 on it and as soon as i got home, i ordered all new belts, coolant hoses, wires, plugs, cap, rotor, pcv valve and i performed an oil change, coolant flush and a valve adjustment. thats a pretty basic list, i'm sure i forgot some things. who knows how the previous owner took care of the car. unless they kept an immaculate service record, i like to do everything immediatly so i know when it needs to be done again.

if the smoke is white/blue its oil burning caused by worn valve seals or piston rings and if its white/clear smoke its water burning from a blown head gasket or a cracked head or block
