Default can anyone verify this?

thread pitch for upper ball joint.

i tried impacting the castle nut on with no luck but with closer inspection the ball join thread was slighty damaged by me tring to pop off the UCA to take out my springs and install my coilovers. so thats why i need some verifacation to get a die kit and make new threads so the castle nut will screw on

if there is a better way to do this please lmk (w/o buying a new ball joint)

m10x1.25? are all honda ones the same?

i did the same thing, i just took a blade from a jigsaw and re-made the threads carefully. Also, it's not a good idea to use the Impact on the Upper ball joint, there needs to be pressure on it for the bolt to tighten up, and if you spin it fast and hard, you could damage the boot, and render your ball joint junk....just a little advice, there not cheap. Let us know how it turns out

I remember when I try to take off the castle nut, tried and tried forever. Wouldn't come off, then stupit me, stomped on the breaker bar and "pop" the axle came out of the tranny and the bearings in the boot was all messed up. I then had to buy a new axle, and at the same time, still couldn't get the nut off.

Finally had it towed to a shop and they had it off in no time.
cost me $140 for the shop and towing fee, +130 for new axle -30 for bringing back the old axle to the auto parts store.

Just thought I share

NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! I cannot stress this enough. YOU DO NOT TRY TO RETHREAD A BALL JOINT WITH A DIE. YOU ARE RISKING YOU LIFE BY DOING SO. Take the UCA out and have a new ball joint pressed in. I'm not joking about this either. Do not cheap out. Get it done right. You don't want to be on the freeway and have that castle nut come off and you careen into an embankment at 70 mph. I accidently crossthreaded a lower ball joint and didn't realize it. Going about 25mph, it snapped, and my one wheel turned a full 90 degrees in the wheelwell. Bent my fender a little, and I pretty much lost steering. Ruined my axle too. What a nightmare that was.

just FYI, you can take the boot off and slide the bearings back in the CV joint

You sir, are an idiot. Don't say I didn't warn you. And stay the hell off of my streets. I don't want your Front end blowing apart and you crashing into my car.

hitting the last thread with a grinder real quick is harmless to get the bolt back on pal. the bolt goes way past that point. aslong as he gets the bolt back on all the way and uses a new cotter pin he will be fine. mabe you did somthing else wrong.
