Default Will hitting 13's be an easy task?

whats up guys. i have a 92 cx hatch with a usdm 97 full gsr swap with i/h/e . i tracked the car on street tires and ran a best time of 14.5 @94 mph on regular street tires.

i just intstalled a skunk 2 pro series i/m , put on a o2 sensor (didn't have one before) , stage 2 clutch , and street tuned the car on a vafc2 .

im going to go back to the track as soon as i have another day off. should i be able to hit 13's? im going to run on bfg's drag radials (205's) btw.

thanks for any feedback will be much greatly appreciated

It's good chance you will hit 13.9 or low with drag radials, but I would spend the money on slicks. That's just my opinion.

i thought about it but i didnt think my setup would need slicks.

plus i got a great deal on the tires since my friend works at walmart so i basically paid less than half the price for them

Should be possible. with the radials get a 2.0 60' and your there..

have you tried any weight reduction?

i don't think that taking out that stuff matters. . . because i believe it's every 100 lbs light is 1/10 of a second. . . or maybe it's 10 lbs? one or the other but i guess every little bit helps.

also, it usually depends on the launch too. if you have a good launch, you'll have a slightly better time. practice that if you want a better time.

you said you street tuned your car on a vafc. . .meaning you have one? what's your crossover point set at? what kind of ecu do you have?

street tuning a vafc is usless, take it to the dyno.
BTW: 100lbs > 1/10 second

wooh. i was correct.
anyway, you'd probably want to make sure you have an aftermarket ecu so that you can get that vafc tuned properly. right now, i'm rockin a p28 chipped ecu, but hondata would definitely be much better, and it's well worth the money.

no.

I've never seen a GSR i/h/e hatch, in person, run 13s without a great deal of weight reduction or slicks..and even with slicks, it's gonna be a close call.

im not sure how different the sea level or track conditions are were you ran your car but my buddies 95 cx hatchback with a JDM B18c stock gsr with just and intake and greddy catback exhaust ran a 13.9 consecutively and this was on gsr stocks with cheap tires.

I went 13.7@101 in my stock gsr swapped hatch with i/h/e and tuning. I've also been in the 13's with mph ranging from 96-101 so you are almost there.
