You can use a 90-91 integra LS distributor but you will have to cut off one of the mounting "legs" to make it fit. Otherwise it will work.

i dont get what has to be done to the ls to make it work i looked that two and they look the same

So What's the best thing to do? is it best to buy a cap and rotor and just modify the post on the cap from a 90-91 ls or is best to buy the whole damn distributor from a 90-91 ls and instal that on the b16?

I would LOVE an answer to this!

You don't modify the cap you actully cut the aluminum mounting leg off the ls distributor in order to make it fit the vtec head.

just try to put the ls dist on and it will become much clearer what tbone is talking about. dont worry it is not hard to make fit at all.
