You're not your old-self Sean John...
You're always cranky when it comes to ricing out the civics with HID without putting projectors on...

Ummm...no 12000k aint brighter...u should take quantum physics...it explains how it works actually...lol taking it right now...12000 kelvin is close to ultraviolet wavelength i believe...purplish...but not bright to out eyes in intensity...color green has the most sensitive frequency to human eyes....

He's trying to tell your that HID kits are illegal, eye-blinding and ricey. It is not much better than stock but barely 2X brighter. Whenever you see those cars blinding you from the distance or illuminating the heck out of your car and reflecting light from your rear mirror to your eyes, that's called HID kit or/and High beams ON.
Just abit of an info to let ya know how others feel when you "illuminate" the road and at the sametime eye-blinding every other single car and driver

thats what you call "projector"
Using HID on a car which is designed for halogen light output is retarded and causes glare like a ufo.
S2k, BMW, Audi and all luxury cars have factory made Projectors with ballasts and bulbs which are designed to work with HID.
In other words, you don't know anything about HID.

i know what ur saying but i made sure mine was adjusted so i dont blind people thus no ticket!...its not too bad on stock civic...angle is low...plus u can always adjust em....mine are not as blinding as s2k light...they are too much...wayyyyy worse than aftermarket without projector...trust me

You're confused. You see many luxury cars changing colorsof the light output from blue to white to in between right? it depends on the angle from which you see the car. When you see a car going downhill or uphill and you're on a non-slopped road you will notice glare from cars. That's what you get to see with projectors. Bad adjustment = ufo-like car...Good adjustment = pure sweet cutoff line with as much light output as you can get to illuminate the road. You can clearly see if the beam pattern reflects below the side mirrors of the car then your well adjusted for not blinding people. But the fact that you're forcing halogen made healights for HID which give you twice or more the ammount of light output is not smart. BTW, HID kits are illegal. Last time i checked they were illegal in some states

lolz. I was given a link by one of my customers a few months back. It was of an auction on ebay for a 30,000K rated bulb. Sort of curious as of what it would look like. Probably like a silverstar

Hazeburner, sent you a PM.

Going back to the topic. Philips is better, but I still prefer slim denso and matsushita gen 2.

The higher the kelvin temp the less light, thats why anything higher then 6000k would just be for the blue/purple preference. and im not doing a retro because its alot of money maybe later down the road though

It looks good, but what's more important that it's bright head on, or that the light is hitting the ground? Since you have the setup, please take a picture of a "wall shot" about 50ft from a wall, and we can compare and see the difference in foreground lighting, width and brightness.

I think it would be good, since people will know whether retrofitting is worth the time and money. If it's only for asthetics, then it would make more sense to use HID kits; unless you like the look of HID retrofits.
