HONDA GEARSHIFTER WONT COME OUT OF PARK.

COULD IT BE THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH,SHIFTER SOLENOID, OR THE GEARSHIFT MECHANISM ITSELF.NEED HELOP OR IDEAS ASAP. THANKS

i doubt it is the brake light switch. 1st I would check the shift **** itself. If it the mechanical parts aren't making the needed contact to release the shifter than it wouldn't come out of park. OH yeah do you have your foot on the brake....

Its repaired now.The brake light switch was the problem. I got to release the shifter lock through the emergency release under the shifter cover to drive it home.Thanks for the replies!
