Default Oil Pressure Issue...HELP A MAN OUT

So today I finally got the line for my oil sending unit for my electrical oil pressure gauge. So I hook the line up to my oil feed adapter and run it to the sending unit. Go to start the car and check for leaks. I noticed as soon as I turned the key over it pegged 100psi. So Im thinking well I got the wires backwards. So I pull out the gauge and check and all the wires are fine..
(if looking at the back of the gauge) Top is Sending unit, Left is 12v, and right is ground. So than I look at the line and see no leaks or anything. Anyone have any idea? Im going to go out and re-wire the gauge and see if I have a open line or anything...

Someone help a man out here...

i would say get the manual...I prefer the manual gauges that give you an acurate reading of your motor. The eletrical gauge you never know what would happen and you might get short and be sending you the wrong info.. thats just my preference though... but to get back on subject.. i have no idea!! hahahah.sorry pla..GOOD LUCk!!!

The oil sending unit wire going to the guage itself was loose. Turned it about a 1/4 turn and boom everything started working...
