Nhra Bracket racing @pomona on 10-21-22
bracket racing is open to any car that will pass tech, from what I know. It can be a full race car to a stock production vehicle.
I encourage you to take the car out to this event. Pomona is a great track and we only get once a year to use it.

to pass tech, there are certain safety requirements. Basic stuff is seatbelts, helmet(if going 13.99 and faster), roll bar for 10.99 to 11.99 roll cage 10.99+ faster,
battery is mounted down, no loose batteries. proper wheel studs if running certain drag rims with slicks. open end lug nuts for drag wheels. etc.
you can see the rule book at http://www.nhraimport.com The stuff I mentioned arent to the exact Times, they may vary, Im just showing an example.

There is LACR which IDRC events use. About 3 times a year. Then you have NHRA at Vegas and Pomona.

According to the site, they have started moving dirt around. The construction company is funded and hired, they are looking for sub-constractors now for the other things they need.
Should be open sometime in early '07
In any case, that's still almost 90 miles just to run. Though typical Test N Tunes should get you 6-10 runs on a slow night and 4-6 runs on heavy night, as I feel alot of people would use this strip as its lower down than LACR (2100 vs 2700) and the traction should be on par with Pomona since they are aiming for big car national event(s) with this track.
