Difference in D16z6 between model years?

Difference in D16z6 between model years?
As the topic says - are there any cosmetic differences between the D16z6?
I have a 1992 D16z6 and it looks different then some of the D16z6's that I've seen, but also there are some that look identical to mine.
In 92 did they only have the honda symbol and "honda" on the valve cover? I'm sure my motor is a d16z6... I'm at work, therefore I can't check the block. The ECU was a P28 so I assume it's a D16z6, but looking at some pics of D16z6 mine looks different.
When did they start implementing the "VTEC" signage?

thats my z6, it doesnt say vtec.
(i know blue valve cover, i bought it that way, i will repaint. Its not even in my car yet)
