OK i have an 00' ITR. my friend have a 04'WRX.
i just got my car , and i raced him for fun few times, both cars 100% stock
stop to go/2nd gear pull/3rd pull on highway.. i happen to easily win..
and i was happy cuz i thot my car would be slower than a wrx
but my friend.
he is constantly dissing ITR
and he tells me every honda is Ricers
and he thinks he's wrx is everything
and i got set of dunlop summer tires costed me 700 cnd
and my tires happen to spin out in the rain if i push bit hard
and tells me FF sux..and wouldnt admit ITR is just.. a better car than wrx..

wat should i do with this wrx brainwashed guy??
cuz its tickin me off..

 

Ignore him, and just be content with the fact that your car is better than his.

Keep kicking his ***, only do it in public around all of your friends. Once his own friends turn on him and say his car is slow he will belileve them.

on a serious note, just ignore him. Or better yet take it to a track and show him whos car is better. When it comes down to it, your always going to have haters out there. I used to hate hondas till I grew up and learned something about cars.

Also, when he blows his transmission in the wrx cause he drives like a idiot all the time, then you can laugh at him.

If he believes his car is fast tell him to go to Mission Raceway and back up his claim

most people usually shut up after you tell them to go to a sanctioned event to continue on with their bragging rights.

 

Who CARES. Some cars are faster than others, some handle better, some are well rounded. You like your car for your own reasons, he likes his car for his reasons.

I like many different kinds of cars: sports cars, sedans, some SUVs. Some I could own and some I can't. I choose to own an ITR for my own reasons, not because its better than someone else's car.

 

Start hanging out with Civic, Integra (LS/GSR), or Del Sol friends to be looked upon.

P.S. Make sure you have a good alarm and that your motor mount bolts are torqued properly if you do.

 

The WRX is borrring... I like to run throughout my rpm range and listen to the crazy engine scream

The car seems like its going to flip when you jerk it side to side, unlike the ITR's go-kart like handling.

Shifting threw the gears isn't as smooth and precise either.


Its apples and oranges. The WRX has alot of capabality though , damn turbos!

The STi is a totally different animal though...... alot of ITR owners are going that path.

This will probably **** alota people off, but just tell him "the R's not a regular caR, dont be surprised you couldnt hang with me when we raced" Alot of ITR owners treat their cars like its not a regular car, so when you mention that to someone who doesnt have one, they get REALLLLLLLLY madd, probably because its just a honda and people treat it like a super caR.

very true.. feel that all the time..
when i had S tho.. ppl gave a little respect tho
but i personally love ITR over s2k...

 

Awsome ! i too have a 00 itR and my room mate has an 04 wrx... odd. But, stock to stock in the begining, i would beat him... until his turbo broke in.. now i "keep up" with him... kinda sucks but, at least he respects the R !

Any legitimate car enthusiast knows how overall a great handler and fun car the ITR is. If he hates on your car, he is just ignorant and his opinion shouldnt matter for a hill of ****** beans.

base wrx is crap. its a great winter car but i dont see how you could say it is better than a race spec car like an itr. tell him if he wants to make fun of your itr he has to buy a decent scooby like an sti. or atleast make some damn power in his pos.

 

Go test drive a STi and call him up when you driving the car. Then race him. expletive, who cares...
