Compression Test Result
i just did a compression test on my B18C5 Engine. the result are 180, 183, 185, 185.
Are these numbers ok? I have toda B in the engine. I am wondering if the cam gear timming will affect my compression test result? because right now my cam gears are set at 0,0?
thx in advance

numbers sound way low, but it depends on how you performed the test (warmed up engine, WOT, number of cranks, the guage used, unplugged injectors??). The most important thing is consistant numbers, and i think you got it. dunno 'bout your cam timimng thing

As said before its the fact that the numbers are close is what is good--unless they were all like 50 or something. Also, how you do the test affects it big time. When I did my last compression test I forgot to open the throttles when checking one of the cylinders I think I got around 160--re-did with the throttles completely open and got 230. These are with individual runners with four seperate throttles so it probably affects it more but even with a plenum you will see a difference. Also, if you do it when the cars cold that will affect it. Weather will affect it, altitude.
