cant put castle nut on?

Default cant put castle nut on?

5th gen base

i think i cross-threaded the part on the upper control arm where the castle nut goes on to hold the arm.

someone told me i can get a 'filer' and fix the threads?

does autozone or orielly sell them

if what your explaining is the ball joint......first get a helms, then you would know what to do.....you might be in luck and be able to pop it out with a 2 ton 2 arm puller......but my reccomendation would be to buy a new balljoint and take off the UCA and have Honda or another shop press in and out the ball joints, then re-install and put the car back together.......but if what your explaining is not a ball joint....please disreguard

The new upper control arm is under $100 i think. If all else fails you could just replace it.

to rethread, you need a Tap and Die specific to your application. The tap rethread holes... and the Die rethreads bolts. Looks like you only need the die. you can get it cheap if you only buy the one you need.

buy a new ball joint its not worth it popping off and destroying your fender

Also make sure the threads on the castle nut itself are in good shape.
