Default the right way for a JLW3...

yo i got a JLW3.... i am getting a JBL 2 channel amp.... since the W3 its a 2 coil.. wahts the right way to get that hooked up using both channels??? just conect each channel to each terminal?? just making sure i dont blow it up..thanxs peace

1. You could bridge the two channels

2. You could run the sub off of one channel.

If you dont have an amp that puts out atleast 200x2, you probably want to bridge the two channels together so you could squeeze more watts.

3. If wired in parallel, a 2 ohm dvc sub will push a 1 ohm load. A 4 ohm dvc sub will push a 2 ohm load.

4. If wired in series, a 2 ohm dvc sub willl push a 4 ohm load. A 4 ohm dvc sub will push an 8 ohm load.

It all depends on what stats your amp is and if your sub is a 2ohm sub or 4ohm sub.
