Default B18B question

Hello everyone:

I have an eg hatch, i've been doing some research on motor swaps, and i've decided to go with the b18b.. i have a few questions:

http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30007
http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30023

whats the difference between the above long blocks?
is it just that one is OBD II and the other OBDI and, the valve cover looks a little bit different?
can you do ls/vtec on the older one?

I'm leaning towards the older one (94-95)
here's a list of items i think i need to make the swap complete:

P74 ecu
b-series tranny & shift linkage
axles
i can use my mounts and wiring(right?)

what else am i gonna need?

thanks!

The one on top is the complete changeover with full engine/tranny/ecu. The bottom one is just the full engine, and is obd1, the one on top looks like could eather be obd1 or obd2, which ever one u want or prefer, just remember to tell em which one u want. U can do an lsvtec with both of the motors, since they're the same. If u want a p74 ecu, and possibly a different tranny I'd go with just the engine, cause the full swap comes with a p75. U should be able to use or motor mounts I think, I'm not sure about the axles, I think u need b series axles, not 100% sure though cause I've never done this swap b4. And u should be able to use ur stock wiring harness and be just fine. Just need to wire up vtec if u're ganna do an lsvtec.

does someone know about the axles?
are the master/slave cylinders from a d-series compatable with a b motor?

Use '94-up B series axles and intermediate shaft.

The D series clutch slave cylinder will bolt directly to the B series tranny.

the whole brake conversion thing
is that a must or a recommendation?

the b series axles fit with my civic 94 stock brake situation?

are there any other b series parts needed that might not be so obvious?

You need B series axles.

master cylinder is compatible, slave isn't.

B and D slaves are identical.
