okay im getting ready too put in a LS motor in my civic its a 1991 hatch what mounts can i use i dont want too buy aftermarket i wanna stick too Stock mounts off whatever i need too get them off of? what mounts have you used guys here on honda tech 90-93 mounts or what or even my D series mounts LMK thanks for looking!

 

brother, spend the extra money and go for some nice hasport mounts. stock mounts are not going to hold up that well. my buddy is using stock mounts in a ek civic with a gsr motor and after about a year he can rock the motor with a push on the head using his own strength. I got a gsr swap in my 91 ef and they hold really well and have been for the past 5 years. plus they have a lifetime gaurentee so if the rubber wares out they replace it for free.

 

I think you need SIR mounts. Youll have to drill out the d series mounts and reweld the SIR mounts in the proper location which is different than the d series mounts. This is a head ache and Id rather spend $300 on hasports.

 

Yea and its not a good idea to do so, if you dont weld them in at the correct angle or location you will pop axles fairly easy, happened to a friend of mine with a LS'd crx
