drag radials or slicks worse for axles/drivetrain?

I was just wondering if 1 has a higher chance of snapping an axle or busting some drivetrain piece. I know slicks "should" be more dangerous; but, I have heard that if you get wheel hop on drag radials it can be very distructive. My crx is running the full-race traction bar and stiff MM inserts, do you think I should be pretty safe from wheel hop
Drag radials will usually be due to wheel hop from the stiffer sidewall. A slick has a little more cushion from the softer sidewall. But also the way you drive will keep parts together preload the clutch and ride it out dont just dump it.

I pretty much already knew that. Basically, I want to know which would be a more forgiving setup (on the drivetrain) for a person with limited experience drag racing?
