Default half happy half sad...

lets hear the good news first: got my wheels and tires mounted today! and man, dem DUNLOP DIREZZA look sexy as hell! i like to thank NSXTASY for pointing me to the right direction. i broke it down to 2 brand models, the FM901 and DZ101 i was really pushing myself towards the FM901, even the salesman talked me into the DZ101 and i couldn't be happier. i love DUNLOPS!!!!!

thanks to Dustin and Hikaru from JLBMotorsports!!!!

now the bad news: two hours later i went back to discount tire it was done right on time i was too excited i even forgot my wheel boxes and didn't look at the rims and tires. when i got home and unloaded my wheels, i took them out one by one by myself. the first 3 wheels were perfect then the last wheel got some 3-4 in gash! pretty deep too! damn, i was so broken hearted.

what i like to know is have any of you experience this problem before? did they do it on purpose?

i didn't have them install the wheels. i took all four home in my hatch. will be put on thursday or friday the latest.

just to clarify, the front are same condition just a 3-4 in gash on the inside of one of the rim.

two noob questions,

1) what does the red and yellow dots mean?

2) did he have to put the weight on the sticker?

I'm sure the shipment was insured. If the wheels were damaged in shipping, you can file a claim with the shipper (e.g. UPS). In any case, contact the seller first. They should make it right.

Assuming you got the same size tires front and rear, it doesn't matter. However, the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 is a directional tire. That means that they are designed to rotate in only one direction (so that, in rain, the tread pattern channels the water from the center of the tread towards the edges). There should be an arrow on the sidewall showing the direction of rotation when the car is moving forward. You will need to mount the tires on the proper side of the car. The tires should already be mounted on the wheels so that two of them have the proper direction of rotation if they are mounted on the left side of the car (arrow pointing counterclockwise when looking at the outer face of the wheel), and the other two have the proper direction of rotation if they are mounted on the right side of the car (clockwise).

almost sounds like they clamped the wheel on the inside to air up the tire or mount the tire...........take it back to them...

the markings are supposed to match were the the valve stem is for the best possible balance and runout........the red i believe is for a steel wheel and the yellow is for the cast wheel
