I need to replace my front speakers for my 01lude. what MB Quart speakers will fit without mods? some ppl said pce 213 will fit, but different audio sites said it doesnt; however the pce-216 will though. Any suggestions?

I fit a 2 5/16" mounting depth speaker (5" cutout) in there no problem (the speaker basket was cut by previous owner).

 

the pce213 has 2.4 mount depth while the pce216 is 2.5. which one would fit? the size for the front speakers are 6" right?

The size (speaker diameter) is 6.5", not 6".

2.4 or 2.5 isn't that much larger than a 2.3125 speaker, but then I can't guarantee anything. I'm just sharing my experience with that same car and a 2.3125" (2 5/16") speaker. You might have to cut out the back of the plastic basket the speaker is attached to.
