So I bought my 99 Si and the guy I bought it from just put on some Continental ContiExtremeContact 205/55/15 tires. I've never heard of these tires before in my life!!! WHAT THE HECTOR? I don't have the money to buy new tires though. I'm driving around looking like a 4x4 and need a drop badly. I love the H&R sport springs and want to go with those, however, I think I'm going to rub ( 1.75" front / 1.5" rear and will do a little sagging ) What do you guys think??? I think it should have 195/55/15's or 205/50/15's but I can't afford anything. I can get a real good deal on some 195/50/15 Toyo Proxes4 but then I might have some gap going on.
Any ideas guys????
Oh, and here's a link to those tires if you want to check them out ... http://www.conti-online.com/ge....html

proper tire size would be a 205/50r15 or a 195/55r15 for an si........conti extreme contact is basially like a kumho asx an a/s performance tire........your current size overall diameter is taller than stock and could cause some rubbing issue with tha drop

You could just use up the 205/55-15, even though they're all-season tires (decent all-seasons, but all-seasons are still a compromise). Yeah, they're bigger than your stock size, but not THAT much bigger (about 1.9 percent larger diameter than stock).
If you want, you could sell those oversized tires and get the proper size. The proper size, as vtecsi00 stated, is 195/55-15 or 205/50-15. Don't get 195/50-15, which is too small for your car.
If you plan to use these tires in winter conditions (snow and/or frigid cold) as well as the rest of the year, then you can get good all-season tires like the Kumho Ecsta ASX ($50/tire in 195/55-15 after rebate, $44/tire in 205/50-15 after rebate).
If you don't need to use the tires in snow or cold, then you can get good summer tires like the Kumho Ecsta SPT ($48/tire in 195/55-15 after rebate, $44/tire in 205/50-15 after after rebate).

for the bad weather that you get in the tri icties is pretty similiar to spokane i would run with the kumho asx if you are planning on driving with those tires all year round......although a friend of mine does have them on his vw and loves them in the winter when he goes to crystal and baker
