Default clearing codes, ABS light on 95 civic

i new to the forums, hope you can help me out

long story short: ive had my 95 civic ex for about a year. ABS light came on. i did the self check by jumping the connectors found on the pass. side. found out be to a wheel speed sensor. i replaced it, but light remains on. however it doesnt come on till i reach about 10 mph. i tried clearing the light by disconnecting negative battery terminal, but no luck. what do you recommend. do i need to keep the jumper wire in while i disconnect the battery terminal? am i missing a step. im tired of looking at it. thanks for the suggestions/ help
