Default Don't deal with "Swags04"

I payed for a Blitz turbo timer that he was selling and never received it. He tells me he sent it out, but has no tracking number etc. I never got what I paid for and he tells me that I'm lucked out because its not his fault if USPS losted the package. Plus he tells me that I should put in a claim to USPS when he's the one that sent me the package.

I just want my money back because I've wasted to much time waiting for something that I never received.

I order other parts from other people around the same time and they are all here already. I don't even know if he sent it out or not, although he said he did.

Couple of factoids here:
-I sent out 3 other packages that day, they were all received by honda tech members.
-I have been working with the buyer to try to find where the package is, an with usps to see if it has been lost.
-I did not get a tracking number with the package, simply because its an extra 1.50 and buyer didnt pay for it.
-I have put in a claim for the buyer through usps to get his money back for a lost item.

Read my vouch thread, i have been dealing on Hondatech for 4 years, never once a hiccup for items much much much more value than a stupid turbo timer. I have over 100 transactions, 50 are vouched for. Dont try to bash my name because shipping fucked us over. Any concerns PM me.

I bought a full set of GSR seats from this guy awhile ago and had no problems, I am willing to bet UPS lost your package

Ask him if he has a reciept? sometime you can enter the reciept number in the track and confirm section on http://www.usps.com and it will tell if a item was actually shpped

USPS has often been unreliable for me, sometimes it has taken weeks for them to deliver stuff that I sent priority. They make no guarantees.
But delivery confirmation is only like 55-cents or something on a Priority mail package, even if it comes out of my pocket I do it for my own protection to avoid situations like this from happening. Especially with PayPal payments, if you have tracking info you will likely prevent any judgements against you.

Im obviously trying to clear it up. Ive filed with usps, and have made more than one stop to the PO to see what the deal was.

USPS you have to pay extra for a tracking number and extra for insurance. The insurance is VERY inexpensive and it is the sellers fault if he didn't buy insurance EVEN if the buyer didn't pay for it. It always helps the seller to pay for insurance--now instead of being out the 50 cents you will be out the price of the product.

On the other side of the coin, there's no protection for the seller either. If a buyer knows there is no way for the seller to confirm delivery they can just claim it never showed up and demand a refund even if they in fact did receive it. I buy the insurance to cover myself as much as the buyer.

it seems as swags is doin everything possible to find out what happened, I don't think these threads should be started unless its the last possible option..(IE) the seller won't reply to you at all

I never buy insurance unless buyer requests it. However delivery conformation is a must no matter what

and it is the seller's responsibility not the buyer...i bet he paid like 5-10 bucks to have it shipped...insurance should have been put on; i cant imagine initial shipping costing more than $3.95 for priority since it's probably under 1 lb...

true, but usually when i ship if its a item thats worth under a 100 bucks, which the turbo timer is prolly 50 bucks, i wouldnt have put insurance on. But i could see where your coming from too.
