Okay people this Drum brake is not comming off
I bought a mallot/hammer (rubber) to try and hammer it off like people on HT suggested but its not working. I asked for a screw to push push off the drum but the employee said it should be premently in the holes. It's not in the hole so I need to buy it. What hell size screw am I looking for and what tool do I need to use this screw?
I use a 5lb sledge and a prybar (bang/pry-spin-bang/pry-spin-bang/pry-spin....)
it will pop off eventually.
Dont wear kid gloves either.
Make that bitch listen to ya

It's a pain, mainly because the pads have probably worn a groove into the drum, mine did. The only way I did it successfuly was to use the screw method to push the drum off. They won't get permanently stuck in the drum, don't know why someone told you that.
Its an 8mm bolt hole. Get two from the hardware store and thread them in a little at a time. Use penetrating oil like WD40 or AeroKroil if its rusty. Bang on the drum with your hammer as you crank down on the bolts. It will come off.

Let it down, the brake shoes expand when you have the e-brake up.

^Okay so I got the damn drum off, thanks for the hint about the e-brake. How do I get the axle off(not sure if its a axle but with the 4 bolts thats holds the wheel off. I'ts in the way of me getting full access to the cylinder.

You don't have an axle in the rear, do you mean the hub?

More then likely the brack drum has a groove on the out edge causing you not to be able to get it off. There is access to the star wheel behind the shield, loosen that up and it should come off.

Is this all necessary just to replace the shoes? My e-brake doesn't work, and I need it to work to pass inspection. I tightened the cable all the way at the adjuster right by the e-brake itself, and it started to maybe have a little brake drag, not enough to hold the car though. So I think it needs new shoes, right?

Is all what necessary ? Yes it sounds like you need new shoes
Take of wheel
Take of drum ( this part could take a while if you are new to this )
Take of shoes ( take one side off at a time so you can look at the other side )
Put shoes on ( hard part unless you are good working with brake tools )
Adjust star wheel so there is drag on the wheel

Look up spring tool, on like sears.com . The tool is not the easiest to use.
