searched came up with some but none of them seemd to be right and were for defferent years of cars but for a civic. where is the button for re-setting the maitnance light on a 04 4dr civic ex?

i read on other hondas its above the right leg when sitting in the driver seat under the dash. is that right and im just blind or did they move it on 04 civics?

 

i don't think there is a button for resetting the maint. light switch i think there is certain way you have to turn the agnition key and hold it there for some time to make the light go away.

i have a 01 civic and the method for mine is stated in the owners manual. check yours it probably is in there.

 

turn the car off
hold the button on the gauges
turn the key to the ON position on acc but ON
but do not start it
hold the button for about 10 seconds until the light blinks a few times than turns off...than let go of button and voila!

 

does the light always come on for a second before starting the car? i did ragingSPAM's way and it goes on now for about a second with the key in the on position(car not started) and then it turns off. that right? or should it not even flash on for a second before starting?

 

press your odomete button and turn car ignition on but dont start car. keep doing that couple times.. the light will go ff

OP: all you have to do is look at our FAQ's. Its not like this has never been asked before... Just take a look.

 

sorry dident know it was in their. i searced but it came up with other ways that dident work. but ya ill look in their next time.
