Default Springs but no aftermarket shocks

I've got a question before I go ahead and do a spring installation. Are there any disadvantages of just putting a set of springs on stock shocks? Can there be detrimental results? Keep in mind that the springs are kgm springs so they don't "slam" the car. I do understand, however, that using lowering springs with stiffer rates than stock, will cause a faster wear rate on my stock shocks. (not an issue) If there's anything else, let me know. Thanks.

Hmm..to my knowledge using stiffer springs, whether they lower or not will wear the shocks out faster if the stock shocks cannot handle the stiffer rates.

The car will ride just fine for what you are using it for. Shocks just wont last long.
