ok i juss swapped a LS into my ek its driving fine little shaking when driving but nothing bad but it started smoking alittle bit. But after it warms up and then it started smoking alot like i had a smoke screen behind me. I almost cause an accident lol but yea was wondering what this is. their is LIQUID on the tip of my exhuast it smells like oil but not really sure.It runs fine when its cold when its hot it starts. I used the old head gasket from the b18a1 block i tried installing because i never drove it. I placed that gasket cuz that was the original block i was going to use but the block was messed up so i got a B18b block . thats the one that i have right now in my car . Is it the gasket??? can this be piston rings??? need some advice thanks and if i dont make sense lol its cuz i was typing to fast

 

what color is the smoke? white? blue? black?
does it smoke when the engine decelerates? accelerates? or all the time?

Bad news. White smoke is burning coolant. Probably need a head gasket.. and hopefully thats it.

 

damn and if it isnt the gasket??????? and should i get a B18B head gasket or B18a the head is b18a the block is B18B and what if it doesnt stop

 

so what happens if the gasket doesnt work??

 

i swapped the gasket and i still have white smoke i even torqued it till like 65-70 tq each bolt for extra measures what could be the problem????
