Default EG B20-VTEC track results

I went to the track friday night to Englishtown in NJ (9/29/06). Here are the results and what I have.

Car: 1992 Civic hatch CX

Mods: I/H/E, Stock JDM B16 Head w/ GSR cams, Stock JDM B20b block, Skunk2 intake manifold and Skunk2 70mm TB. Chipped P30, AEM fuel pressure regulator and STR Fuel Rail and Apexi V-AFC II.

Wheels and Suspension: 14" steelies with BF Goodrich drag radials (205/55/R14) and OEM suspension with Polyurethane motor mount inserts

Power: 183 whp and 130 ft/lbs. tq

Weight: 2280 with me in it.

Times:
1st run-
R/T .032
60 ft. 2.272
330 6.031
1/8mile & mph 9.089@ 81.09mph
1000 ft 11.733
1/4mile & mph 13.979@ 100.61mph

2nd run-
R/T .032
60 ft. 2.322
330 6.031
1/8 mile & mph 9.089@ 81.09mph
1000ft 11.700
1/4 mile & mph 13.933@ 101.22mph

My suspension is garbage right now. Both runs I had massive wheel hop. I have $50 ebay springs and stock shocks/struts that I believe are still OEM from the factory like 14 years ago.

I just ordered some KYB adjustables and I wanna get Skunk2 drag springs and maybe get traction bars. I am hoping to go back in like 3-4 weeks and I am aiming for 13.7 or better. Let me know what you think. How did I do, what else should I get. Thanks in advance.

UPDATED: (10/25/06)

Ok I finally went back to the track after putting in my shocks/struts and my springs. The first 2 runs were only 1/8th mile because heavy 25+mph crosswinds. But aftet that the winds died down and I finally got a 1/4 mile run.

R/T: .042
60ft: 2.074
330ft: 5.747
1/8mile: 8.733@ 82.38mph
1000ft: 11.322
1/4mile: 13.5@ 102.24

I'm pretty happy with what I hit. I wonder how possible is it, if I had slicks and maybe get my 60 down to a 1.7 or 1.8, could I hit low 13's or high 12's. Let me know what you think and thanks in advance.

Yeah I def agree but its hard to get good 60's while your car is hopping around due to bad suspension. I'm gonna button all that stuff up and go back and hopefully reach my goal. I know I can get it. I've seen another car on H-T dyno at 188whp and 130 tq. and hit 13.5 with just 2.1 60' and that is only 5 more whp than I have and the same amount of tq.

Get Slicks lower them to 14psi , launch high and you'll be alright. Slicks will eliminate the hopping, as long as you lower them, i promise. Then good luck going for the 12's.

I would have expected a bit more, but like mentioned your 60fts can be improved and that will help a lot.

You know what, me too. But with stock 14 year old shocks and $50 ebay springs, I'm happy. Where can I get some of those skunk2 drag springs. I don't see them on the Skunk2 site.

try getting some HX wheels and swap the BFG's on there...
what wheels are you running in the rear?
skinnie tires at high psi in the rear.

have you played around with much suspension shock adjustments?

get them and lower them to atleast 8psi...i run my drags at 12psi and pull 1.8s....if you get some 22" slicks at 8psi i bet you be in the 12's with a 1.7x 60ft

these eastcoast et.are way nicer then the westcoast ets.Maybe because your tracks are better in elevation and in track prep.

I have 14 inch steelies in the front with 13 inche steelies in the back (I only run it like that on race day). How light are the HX wheels? I've been running like 35psi in the rear and 15-16psi in the front. Next time I go I will bring it down to 12 psi.
I didn't play with the settings on the sturts but I had them on 2 in the front and 4 on rear.
