BFG. drag radials on stock axles....
I have a Em1 with somewhere around 210-115whp ls/vtec... I kind of wanna get the BFG. drag radials 225/50/15 (track use only) to get the most out of the car but i wanna know how safe it is to run them on stock axles???
Also how good are the Azenis 205/50/15???
I live about 1 hour away from the track and its my daily driver

Azenis are good for daily driving and auto cross but aren't a really good drag tire at all due to the stiff sidewall. I have them on my car and the best Ican get my 60fts down to is 2.1 seconds. Im still trying to decide if I should get some bfg drag radials or go with some slicks.
great info... I just went to the track last weekend and some people were saying that BFG. pop stock axles... I think until certain amount of power they will be fine with stock axles..

they can but it is mostly from wheel hop, I have only broken 2 stock axles on BFG's with way more power on tap

BFG's are good for the streets, for the track I would get slicks and if you do not go to tall you'll be fine. For your set MT 20x8x14 or 22x8x15 (22x8x13 MH) and youll be happy with the results.

agreed.if they'll just be for track use,go ahead and get slicks.they'll help you much more than the radials.
as for axles,it all depends.you can break axles with a stock D15 and street tires if you try.preload the drivetrain, and avoid wheelhop, then you should be fine.i run 24.5" slicks with about 325HP on stock axles-never broken one.

thanks for the support... I kind of like to see cars running on radials for some reason slicks it's not my thing yet... i see slick more on a race car than on a DD.
