clutch squeek
i have a 2000 honda prelude base model
the sound that im hearing is a squeek when i press in the clutch even when the car is turned off. i also feel a little roughness in the clutch as i hear the squeek especially as im slowly letting off the clutch when the car is off. the clutch isnt slipping or anything because i got a new transmission along with a clutch, but im not sure if they really changed the throw out bearing so im leaning towards the throwout bearing. so if any of you guys have any idea where i should look for please tell me!!
also the sound does come from the slave cylinder where it pivots and when i wd40 that bitch like crazy the sound stops for a little while but if im in stop and go traffic for a while it will come back
so any feedback with be appreciated.

Is the sound coming from the engine bay, from were the clutch pedal is?.. if near clutch pedal then you need to grease (Not WD40) it won't keep it from coming back.. the spring on the pedal.. i doubt its your throw out bearing because you say it does it when the engine is off.. i'm at a lost to what else it could be.
i had the same problem a few weeks back.. tried WD and only work for a few hours.. put some mechanic grease and i was good

its more coming from the engine bay and not from the pedals so im looking at either the throwout bearing or low pressure in the slave cylinder or one of the joints that connects it all
