Yesterday I was on a Porsche drive-security event with all kinds of Porsches from Classic to most powerfull GT3 and turbo. I had speacial connections, so I was able to hang around with the Porsche guys. We did some brake tests and handling courses. The best part was the free driving on the track. And boy……I whooped 911 turbo Porsches asses! I was faster in the curves and I was faster on the straights, no joke! Hell, after that, some Porsche guys wantad a ride in my ITR and of course I gave them a trip to hell. Drifting, sliding, droved near perfect on the ideal line…….thanks to my experience in autoX, GoKart racing and playing GT III
and of course to my Yokohama A038R which has worned out after this day. The profil was 80% new and now they are down at 20%
Had 195/50/15

It was just an tire test area for Semperit (Continental is owner of Semperit) tires but with a usual track.
PS: Semperit is (was) an Austrian company and they had invented the winter tire.

just curious, does it really have it stamped as b18c6 on the block? i've always wondered about this exotic beast... cuz i've only heard about it...
Yes, It's nothing exotic. It's just a JDM B18C with a different header, the rest is the same....

The straights was relatively short. Never reached more than 220kph. The short ITR tranny is perfect, also with turbo power! Traction wih the A038R was no problem. Of course I runned lower boost in first and 2nd gear.
1,2 Bar boost was enough to keep the turbo behind me. I must say it was a poor driver too. In an S-curve he spinned his AWD turbo around and suddently he was in the gras and the Porsche was all over dirt! Muhahahahaha! that was fun! It was a tiny course. About 50 Sekonds to 1 minute a round

Beautiful, .... simply beautiful!!
What type of safety gear (belts/rollbar/seat, etc...) do you have.
I'll be right behind you
, once my car has made the transition to boost. Ed
Oh, ... did you mount that rear wing yet?

Way to go austrian!!! You should have posted this on Hondapower too! I had to come all the way over here to read it.
Sometime I am going to come to Austria and get a ride in your beast.

I have Schrott H-belts and JDM (stock) Recaros.
The rear wing is going on this week.
Sorry, but nobody had a videocam.

We have no speedlimits on the track. Hell, for this reason I go to the track, why is that so in California.
My suspension is stock, except lowering springs. The car has a pretty good and neutral handling, without too much oversteering, just a little bit like it should be.
I make 430bhp with 1.5 Bar boost. At this event I runned only with about 360bhp.
My benefits over the turbo Porsche was the tire, short tranny, better driving skills and experience in AutoX, Cart racing. The Porsche driver realy sucked and I think a better one had looked better vs my turbo teg. No doubt. Like I said, the track was realy tiny, so I had a chance against the Porsche.

so did you eve have any cooling problems??? That was my biggest fear and tracking a turbo R. If no cooling problems how are you keep the temp down for that long in those conditions??
