there's a nipple on the front of the tranny where the hydraulic line runs. open that up and start pumping away, make sure the fluid in the master cylinder stays filled.

if it doesnt stay filled, bubbles get in and you have to start all over again

you cant just pump away, you keep the bleeder closed, pump it slowly 4 times, hold it to the floor, have someone open the bleeder, wait a few seconds until the fluid stops flowing, then close it, then repeat pumping

go until no more air is coming out, and the very last time, close the bleeder before the fluid is completely out, while its still flowing good, shut it...that makes SURE no air gets in

and yes be very sure the reservoir is full at all times

the best way to get fluid back in the lines though is to just open the bleeder screw, and let gravity push fluid through the system, because it is FULL of air right now....once it starts dripping outta the bleeder, close the screw, then do as i said above....but yea the reservoir always has to be full...use castrol gt-lma fluid...good stuff

haha yeah well i was under the assumption that the poster knew how to bleed hydraulic systems...

what i like to do sometimes is just run a hose on the nipple and dip it into a bottle full of clean fluid so that when you're pumping, if you're by yourself, the line will draw fluid back in rather than air

thats always a good idea

but make sure you dont let the old dirty fluid contaminate that bottle of clean youre gonna suck from

i had to do it myself, so i used a vacuum bleeder...worked out alright but man was that a mess....
