Default head unit skipping like a ****

Have an Alpine head unit about 5 months old never had a problem, but now it is skipping like mad.It doesn't matter what cd i play,if I hit the slightest bump in the road it skips. No loose wires, the unit is very secure in the car, anyone ever had this problem before?

Is that your car in your avatar? If so, maybe God is punishing you for those tail lights by making your tunes skip...

Seriously though... Could be alot of things... Is the unit properly installed & backbraced? It's possible that the laser is out of alignment also....

Take unit out, bring to authorized repair facility, wait for repair to be completed, reinstall.

Dust, vibration, shock from too much vtaak are all possible causes.

If the unit is only 5 months old, get in contact with Alpine and inquire about a repair under the manufacturers warranty.
